Speetley Equestrian Centre Ltd
Speetley Equestrian Centre Ltd is a competition yard based in chesterfield.
The centre features a 60 x 30 m dressage arena. And an international size jumping arena with full set of show jumps and includes steps and a water splash. Both were constructed by Andrews Bowen, who built the arenas for the 2012 Olympics and is surfaced with their Prowax Competition.
During the winter months, when using the cross country course isn’t suitable, a selection of cross country jumps are put up in the arena to give eventers practise.
The cross country schooling area is on well drained and established turf, enclosed in a ring fence. It is made up of some undulating and flat ground with a good selection of portable and solid fences and are all up to BE standard. The permanent fences have all been made by Harry Williams, an accredited BE fence builder. These include water, ditches and steps and are built to the high safety standards of BE. All the portable fences are secured and are all flagged to teach young horses what to expect going cross country.
The farm ride is made up of 2.5 miles of grass tracks and some solid fences and has proved very popular as fittening circuits or simply as a place to unwind after a hot and tiring jumping session.
