Wythenshawe Park Riding Stables
Wythenshawe Park Riding Stables is set on the Wythenshawe Park estate and within 275 acres, boasts a wealth of activities from horse riding, crazy golf, par 3 golf, Tennis, bowls, bowls, Multisports play area and playground. There are beautiful formal gardens to browse, a community farm a ‘safari walk’ and a 500 year old Tudor Hall to explore, as well as the newly refurbished Courtyard Cafe. You can bring the family and make a day of your visit.
Wythenshawe Park Riding Stables is a family run business, approved by the ABRS. You are assured of a friendly welcome by staff who care about your safety and enjoyment. The knowledgeable staff take good care of the horses and you can be assured that horse welfare is paramount. A selection of horses and ponies are used for lessons for adults and children aged four years and over, novice riders are welcome.
The Pony Club is an international organisation dedicated to offering children the opportunity to ride horses. This 50,000 strong group also encourages tests to prove levels of riding and horsemanship. Take an escorted ride through beautiful woodlands and past wild flower meadows within Wythenshawe Park.
Also located at Wythenshawe Park is GMRDA. Founded in 2007 is a registered charity and member of the Riding for the Disabled Association. Their mission is to improve the lives of people with disabilities through horse riding and use the horses and facilities of Wythenshawe Park Riding Stables to achieve this aim.
