Durhams Farm Riding School
Durhams Farm Riding School is situated in a beautiful area of The Cotswolds. A family run business, founded in 1994 to bring together people of every background and all ages to have fun and learn new skills.
Pat and her wonderful team are dedicated to providing you with the best possible service and a horse riding experience that is second to none.
The location
The riding school sit on 60 acres of glorious countryside set between the popular market towns of Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton.
The riding area is outstanding for all levels of ability, with large open spaces, bridleways and woodland trails to discover. The centre provides a professional approach to horse riding and ensures that you are able to learn in a safe and friendly environment.
The horses and ponies benefit from living in the calm and relaxed atmosphere.
Lessons and instructors
All the instructors are experienced, qualified and friendly. They also like to ensure you are progressing at a reasonable pace and will not attempt to hold you back. They will remember you, who you have ridden and what level you are at, each time you come back, so you can get the most out of your experience.
Lessons can be taken as private, semi private or in groups (3-6 people), and the centre welcome everyone from the 3+. There is a a weight limit of 15 stones max.
Durhams Farm’s facilities
Durhams Farm’s facilities are excellent, including a large outdoor floodlit arena, great range of show jumps and cross country fences spanning three fields.
A cosy log cabin overlooks the arena, where you can grab a tea or coffee and some light bites whilst you watch lessons in action. The local hacking out is outstanding, with regular ride out on planned routes with the centre’s the experienced team.
Hacking out
Hacks can be taken privately or in groups of up to 4 and for an hour or two dependent on your experience.
Pony days are a great way to get your kids active outdoors. They will spend the day learning how to care for a pony as if it were their own. As well as learning to ride, children will be taught how to love and respect their pony too.
During the day your child will take part in activities such as riding lessons, stable management, tack cleaning and grooming. Also available are Birthday and hen parties. Both are fun and popular!
